1. When Is the Best Time to Start Invisalign if I’m Pregnant?
You can start Invisalign at any stage of pregnancy, but here’s what we typically recommend:
A) First Trimester
If you’re in your first trimester, you may be experiencing morning sickness, fatigue, or changes in appetite. For some, wearing aligners may feel uncomfortable during this phase — especially if you’re dealing with nausea. It’s fine to wait until the second trimester to begin if that feels better for you.
B) Second Trimester
This is often the best time to start Invisalign. Most mums-to-be feel more settled, have higher energy levels, and are less likely to experience sensitivity or nausea. You’ll also have time to adjust to your new routine before your baby arrives.
C) Third Trimester
It’s still possible to start treatment, but you may have more frequent medical appointments and may not want additional visits. If you’re already in treatment, no problem — we’ll help manage it around your schedule.

While Invisalign is safe, pregnancy-related hormonal changes can affect your gums and teeth. You might notice:
